Pair of Ebonized Hall Chairs

A pair of William and Mary period high-back hall chairs in an ebonized finish. Each chair has six molded slats that join into an arched crest rail and are flanked by turned uprights surmounted by a turned knop. The scrolled front legs are joined by an arched stretcher. A turned H-stretcher joins the front and back legs. These chairs have extraordinary height.
