A pair of smoker's bow Windsor armchairs with "draught-back" splats. The shaped arm supports and back-splats differentiate these chairs from more common versions and resemble those attributed to High Wycombe. See Bernard Cotton's The English Regional Chair, figure TV230. The legs and double H-stretchers are elaborately turned.
