A William and Mary period "oyster" veneered chest. The two short over three long drawers are veneered in oyster-cut veneers, probably laburnum or olivewood. The long drawers are banded in oak. The top is similarly veneered, banded, and inlaid with stringing in a pattern of circles. The sides are paneled in solid oak. The brasses and bun feet are later.
