The serpentine-shaped top is bordered with cross-banding that is outlined by contrasting line inlay inside and out. The center of the shaped apron is inlaid with a marquetry shell surrounded by radiating plumes below a strip of contrasting triangular inlay. The tapering legs are topped by oval marquetry paterae and end in block feet. Beautiful shape, color, and proportions. Provenance: Apter-Fredericks, London.
